Research has shown that
multiple partners are the key drivers of the HIV epidemic as they increase ones
chances of being infected with STIs and HIV because of sexual networks that are
invisible.
Participants involved in these networks are usually not aware of how they are
connected to each other and condom use is often low. In the South African
society having multiple partners is a common practice which must be dissuaded.

AIDS WIZE promotes Abstinence as it has been proven to be 100% effective in
preventing HIV, STIs and unwanted pregnancies. Our program inspires young people
to delay sexual debut because teenagers who are sexually active often have a low
self esteem and a low socio economic status therefore they fail to negotiate the
use of condoms with their partners.
Health on line has come up with a strategy which encourages young people to
abstain or be faithful to one partner and use a condom. During the Aids Wize
condom week students participates in an exercise which support the A/BC.
Aids Wize primary goal is to stop the new HIV infection incidents amongst the
youth of South Africa. We encourage young people to play their part in the fight
against HIV by pledging to either abstain or be faithful to one partner and use
a condom at all times. Aids Wize encourages you to take a stand and play an
active role in stopping the spread of HIV by making your personal pledge.
